Aloo -- now, who doesn't love them? Masala aloo is a mouthwatering, delicious, flavorful dish served as an accompaniment or side to pulaos, roti or even rice. Try out this fantastic aromatic dish.. it will leave you asking for more..
Ingredients:
- Baby potatoes - 500 gm
- Kasoori methi - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - As required
- Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
For Marination Paste:
- Onion – 1 medium (grate into a paste)
- Ginger-garlic Paste – 1 tsp
- Cumin/Jeera Powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander/Dhaniya Powder - 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Amchoor powder – 1/2 tsp
How To Prepare Spicy Potato Masala:
- Boil the baby potatoes along with salt.
- Prepare the marination paste – Mix well all the items listed under the “For marination” section along with salt into a paste using a little water and set aside for a few minutes.
- Peel the potatoes and marinate them in the prepared paste for about 30 mins (the paste should cover the potatoes on all sides).
- Heat oil in a kadai and add the marinated potatoes, kasuri methi, and the marination paste (if any is left) and saute for about 8 mins.
- Add garam masala and mix well and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from fire and serve hot with rotis, parathas, pulaos or even rice.
